The call-to-action or call-to-action button is a feature offered by Facebook for business pages. Restaurants can add a Book button directly on their Facebook and/or Instagram page and thus take Internet users to their Guestonline online booking module to display and offer the availabilities entered in the tool.
📌 Before starting :
You must ensure that you have validated the following steps :
1/ You must be an administrator of the restaurant's Facebook page
2/ You must have added this page to your BusinessManager account
3/ If using a personal Instagram profile, you will need to switch to a business account. Nothing could be simpler : open Instagram and follow the following steps.
4/ You must then have linked your Instagram account to your Facebook page. To do this, follow these steps
5/ You must have a Facebook Pixel account and a Facebook Ads account, if you don't yet, you can do so when activating this connection.
🤷♂️ How to do ?
→ In your Guestonline account, click in the menu on Settings then Main Module
→ Click on the Facebook logo in the center of the page:
→ Select the types of accounts to connect then click on "Save"
→ If you are already logged into Facebook in another tab, you will see: "Continue as "[your username]". If this is not the account you want to use, log in to your other account.
→ Click on "continue" to start the connection with Facebook
→ Select or create your Business Manager account
→ Select the Facebook page to associate
→ Select the Instagram pro account to associate
→ You must have a Facebook Ads account, if you don't have one yet you can click on "create new" to create a new one.
→ You must have a Facebook Pixel account, if you don't have one yet you can click on "create new" to create a new one.

→ Check all the parameters then validate, by clicking on "continue"
→ Click on next to give sufficient permissions to Guestonline
And now, everything is ready !
Your restaurant is now bookable with Guestonline on Facebook and Instagram !
Future reservations that you will receive on these channels will be identifiable by the corresponding logos : Facebook or Instagram on your reservation book in your Guestonline account and on your iPad (Faro) and mobile applications.
TIP: If after correctly following these steps, the Facebook connection time is too long (more than a few days), do not hesitate to repeat the above process by clicking on cancel the connection, in your Settings> Main Module>Facebook, then log in again.
If despite this, the connection does not work, then a problem arises with the mandatory conditions required by Facebook. Here they are listed below, we invite you to check that you meet these conditions (without this the connection cannot be functional):
- Be an administrator of the restaurant's Facebook page
- Have added the restaurant page to their Business Manager account
- Have linked their Instagram page to their Facebook account (for booking via Instagram)
- Have created a Facebook Pixel account
- Have created an advertising account
